I have been following the “health care debate” from the first bill. I have lots of opinions about the pending bills and the way that the good citizens of this country have chosen to express their opinion. While I can’t say that I love Barney Frank or his politics up and down the line, this sequence of him smacking down grass roots idiots is worth watching at least twice.

I would add to this that “we the people” should be appalled (and don’t seem to be) that our elected representatives are not working together to fix something that is severely flawed. Even worse opponents refuse to engage in offering an alternative solution. This is hardly a good example of why countries should embrace a democratic form of government.
Barney Frank is a boob. What kind of a leader acts that way to his constituants. He’ll do the same thing with Health Care that he did with Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, eff it up.
I think both of you (Peter & Frank spars with constituents) are missing the point here. While I don’t condone the nut jobs with the Natzi signs, (the Nut Jobs exist on both sides) but this represent a small percentage. Some people just don’t know how to effectively communicate but there emotions really tell the story. They feel the Gov’t has not represented them and now are blowing this Helthcare garbage past the ‘stupid’ public. They have a point! For those that say the opponents refuse to engage in offering an alternative, I’ve read them! They are market driven, don’t cost much and maybe effective. Seak out the answer and it won’t be hard to find.
My 2 cents is that whatever finally gets across the finish line will hardly qualify as reform. Dale is right. There is a lot of anger in the country right now. While nobody can really understand the financial system, everyone gets health care. And to rules are: I want it, i don’t want to pay for it, and I certainly don’t want to pay for you to have it. I know that’s unkind but I don’t think I’m wrong.
